About Tradition Golf Club At Royal New Kent (Providence Forge, VA)
Ranked #4 on Golfweek's 2009 list of "Best Courses You Can Play" for Virginia, Royal New Kent is a tribute to the legendary links of Ireland. Creeks and small ravines snake through the fairway while sharp hills, hand-stacked rock walls, and tall grasses hide many greens. Most fairways are wide and inviting and the greens are large and receptive to most shots. A few hidden, deep bunkers will keep you from spraying it around too much.

Jim (Harrisburg, PA) says:
Did not play this course. Left a day early

Thomas (Hanover, PA) says:
Very difficult course, I am surprised at a course that prides themselves on how tough the course is. I would not reccomend this course to the average hacker. Some VERY tough carries just to keep ball in play and then the greens were even tougher

John (Sicklerville, NJ) says:
This is one of those courses that should only be played by single diget handicap golfers...Much of the course seems contrived and developed simply to make it hard...not something a 12-15 hdcp really enjoys. I would not recommend it to my friends

Doug (Mason, OH) says:
Tough course. Got our workout.

Jim (Brookhaven, PA) says:
This is a true links course, it was a little difficult for me as I am a leg amputee because of the hills etc

Dave (Oswego, IL) says:
Only able to play 9 because of rain. I really enjoyed the front nine. A great course.

John (Mendham, NJ) says:
The "on pace" play anticipates close to a 5 hr round for a reason. Great fun, typical Strantz, but this course beat us to a pulp. No flat lies, huge traps, 3 tier greens.

Laura (Hamilton, ON) says:
Food (hotdogs and hamburgs) in restaurant was only food items which seemed odd for this course. Other than that, this course was AMAZING. Staff were so good and friendly both on the course and in club house. It was immaculately groomed and layout was spectacular.

John (Rumford, RI) says:
All that we expected and more!

Kyaw (Silver Spring, MD) says:
The course is not fair for average players. It is beautiful but not player friendly. Hole # 10 is an example. For the third shot, you had to go over the muddy creek which is running parallel to a green side bunker on to a uneven green sloping away from you.
